Russian troops have taken control of Kazachya Lopan in the Kharkov Region and the city of Svyatogorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

Kazachya Lopan was captured by units of the Sever Group of Forces. On the Kharkov axis, Russian forces also struck Ukrainian formations near Novoaleksandrovka, Prikolotnoye, Podsredneye and Sosnovy Bor. The targets included units from mechanized and motorized infantry brigades, an assault regiment and a territorial defense brigade.

Fighting also continued in the Sumy Region. Russian troops hit personnel and equipment belonging to a Ukrainian mechanized brigade and a territorial defense formation near Ulanovo, Khoten and Malaya Rybitsa.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukrainian losses in this sector exceeded 200 servicemen. Two armored combat vehicles, seven other vehicles, two artillery pieces and a counter-battery radar station were also destroyed.

On the Donetsk axis, units of the Zapad Group of Forces took control of Svyatogorsk. Russian troops then began clearing buildings in the city where, according to the ministry, Ukrainian servicemen were still hiding in basements.

Russian forces also struck units of Ukrainian mechanized and airmobile brigades, as well as a territorial defense brigade. The attacks took place near Studenok in the Kharkov Region and near Raygorodok, Mayaki, Sidorovo, Krymki and Prishib in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The Russian Defense Ministry put Ukrainian losses in this sector at more than 205 servicemen. A US-made HMMWV armored vehicle, 20 other vehicles and one field artillery gun were also destroyed.
