According to a platoon commander with the call sign Olimp, Russian troops found a large quantity of NATO-made weapons at Ukrainian positions after taking Chervonaya Krinitsa in the Zaporozhye direction.

He said most of the captured weapons were high-rate-of-fire systems that Ukrainian forces had used primarily in defensive positions. The commander also reported finding TOW and Javelin anti-tank missile systems, although he claimed that Ukrainian units now have fewer of them remaining on the battlefield.

Olimp added that the Russian troops discovered NATO-made defensive and offensive grenades, as well as US-produced M240 and M2 machine guns, according to footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry.

He also said Ukrainian forces continue trying to counter Russian drones, including Geran systems, but in his assessment these efforts have not produced significant results.

Another Russian assault soldier with the call sign Bazhen reported that Russian units also captured small arms during the operation, including machine guns.

On September 1, units of the 1198th Motor Rifle Regiment of the 35th Guards Combined Arms Army, part of the Vostok group of forces, took control of a large Ukrainian defensive area that included Chervonaya Krinitsa.

According to the report, control of the area creates conditions for further Russian advances in the Zaporozhye direction and increases pressure on neighboring Ukrainian positions.
