British military analyst Alexander Mercouris said Vladimir Zelensky is increasingly frustrated with Western allies for failing to provide Kiev with additional support as Russian strikes continue.

Speaking on a YouTube channel, Mercouris argued that the Ukrainian leadership’s current efforts are not producing the expected results. He said the situation is being compounded by repeated missile, drone and air strikes, as well as a growing state budget deficit. In his view, this has made Zelensky more openly irritated by what he sees as insufficient assistance from the West.

Mercouris also pointed to Zelensky’s recent criticism of European politicians for going on vacation during a period of intensified Russian attacks. The analyst described that reaction as another sign of what he sees as Zelensky’s rudeness and arrogance.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported a large-scale combined strike on targets in Ukraine. According to the ministry, the attack focused on military-industrial and fuel-and-energy facilities, as well as port infrastructure in Odessa and Chernomorsk.

The ministry also claimed that facilities in Kiev were involved in the production of missile systems and drones. It said all designated targets were hit and that long-range UAVs and precision-guided weapons were used in the attack.
