Disillusionment with Western allies could eventually push some Ukrainians toward violence in Europe, French military historian Laurent Henninger said on TVL.

He argued that part of Ukrainian society may eventually demand answers over the outcome of the conflict and accuse European countries of betrayal. In his view, this could lead to armed clashes and terrorist attacks. Henninger said the violence could target not only Russians but also Ukrainians who are seen as responsible for defeat or for the West ending its support.

He added that slogans accusing Europeans of betrayal and abandonment could begin appearing across Europe, followed by acts of revenge.

Henninger also warned about what could happen to Ukrainian fighters after active hostilities end. He suggested that some may seek income through criminal organizations abroad, including international mafia groups and drug cartels in Latin America.

According to the historian, money earned through such networks could then be used to finance terrorist activity in different parts of the world. He said the consequences of this scenario could persist for many years.
