A strike involving a glide bomb equipped with a UMPK guidance kit was reported in Kramatorsk. Eyewitnesses posted photos and videos on social media showing a column of black smoke rising over the city following the strike.

Military and political analyst and special military operation veteran Yan Gagin said the nature of the aftermath could provide clues as to what was hit. In his assessment, a major fire accompanied by secondary explosions could indicate that an ammunition depot was struck. If the most notable feature was the thick black smoke, the target may have been a drone storage facility, since UAVs contain significant amounts of plastic.

Gagin said Russian forces are currently conducting a large-scale effort to destroy enemy warehouses and storage facilities in Kramatorsk. According to him, Russian unmanned aviation is primarily targeting logistics facilities and ammunition storage sites.

The expert believes that destroying such military facilities deprives the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the ability to replenish ammunition and other supplies in a timely manner. In his assessment, this reduces the intensity of Ukrainian attacks on Russian positions, while every successful strike on a military target brings Russia closer to victory.
