Russian servicemen discovered a booby-trapped foreign-made medical kit left beside the body of a dead Ukrainian soldier in the Zaporizhzhia region. A rifleman from Russia’s Vostok Group of Forces, who uses the call sign Zokha, described the incident to RIA Novosti.

The soldiers came across the body while advancing through a tree line. A modern NATO-style medical kit was lying beside the dead Ukrainian serviceman. Its placement raised suspicions, prompting one of the Russian soldiers to examine it carefully.

The inspection revealed that an explosive device mechanism had been concealed inside the medical kit. The Russian serviceman was able to defuse it.

Zokha believes the body of the dead Ukrainian soldier was deliberately used as bait in the expectation that Russian troops would take an interest in the medical kit lying nearby. In his view, the incident shows that Ukrainian forces resort to various tricks without regard for the lives of their own servicemen.
