Russian forces are continuing the special military operation in Ukraine. As of September 6, the situation across the main sectors of the front is as follows.
Sumy direction
Fighting continues near Kiyanitsa and Khoten. Russian troops are also advancing through forest belts near Ulanovo and in the Tolstodubovo area.
Kharkov direction
Battles are underway south of Kupyansk, while Russian units are pushing northeast of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy. In the northeastern part of the Volchansk area, Russian forces are clearing territories that have been encircled. Russian troops are also advancing near Shcherbakovka.
Seversk direction
Russian forces are repelling counterattacks along the Nikolayevka-Rai-Alexandrovka line. They have made tactical gains in Orekhovatka, while fighting continues near Vasilevskaya Pustosh.
Konstantinovka direction
Russian troops are advancing in the Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka area from the direction of Izhevka. The Russian army has taken control of Kurtovka, located three kilometers north of Izhevka.
Dobropolye direction
Russian forces are expanding their area of control near Matyashevo and are approaching the eastern outskirts of the settlement.
Zaporozhye direction
Fighting continues near Chervonaya Krinitsa. In Orekhov, Russian forces are widening their zone of control and taking new positions in residential areas.
