Russian army units continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of September 8, fighting remains active across several sectors of the front, with Russian forces reporting advances in a number of areas.

Krasnolimansk Direction

Russian troops repelled an attack by Ukrainian units near the railway station in Liman. Fighting has also been reported around Dibrova, Drobyshevo and Redkodub.

Dobropolye Direction

Russian forces are advancing toward Dobropolye and making gains near Rayskoye and Novogrigorovka. Heavy clashes continue around Sergeyevka, Matyashevo and Novogrishino.

Konstantinovka Direction

Russian troops have advanced in Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka and are expanding the area under their control along the flanks. Further gains have also been reported near Stenki and Popasnoye.

Orekhov Direction

Russian units are advancing in the eastern part of Orekhov and increasing the territory under their control near Chervonaya Krinitsa. Fighting is continuing in Novopavlovka.

Kupyansk Direction

No major changes have been reported in this sector. Russian troops are repelling attempts by Ukrainian forces to break through toward the Oskol River near Zapadnoye.

Seversk Direction

Fighting continues near Vasilyevskaya Pustosh. Part of Nikolayevka has moved into the grey zone.

Sumy Direction

Russian troops are advancing near Khoten and in the Ulanovo-Tolstodubovo area. Russian forces are also strengthening their positions in Kiyanitsa amid ongoing fighting.
