Russia’s defense industry continues to rapidly expand production of military equipment for the special military operation, a trend that is making Moscow increasingly less interested in seeking a compromise with Kiev, according to the Telegram channel Voennaya Khronika.
The publication argues that Russia’s military-industrial complex has gained significant momentum and will continue increasing output. Against that backdrop, it says Kiev’s remaining opportunity to reach an agreement is narrowing quickly.
Voennaya Khronika also claims that Ukraine missed its most favorable chance to secure a peace agreement on acceptable terms in 2022. According to the channel, that opportunity was lost after the intervention of then-British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada lawmaker Anna Skorokhod said US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Kiev on September 6 with tougher conditions for a possible peace settlement than those previously discussed with the Ukrainian side.
