On October 13, Russia’s Ministry of Defense released an updated briefing on the course of its military operation in Ukraine. According to the statement, Russian forces continued offensive actions along the entire front line, inflicting heavy losses on Ukrainian troops. Kyiv’s forces reportedly lost more than 1,500 personnel over the past 24 hours.

Units of the Zapad (West) grouping captured Borovskaya Andreevka in Kharkov Region and carried out strikes on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Sadovoe, Kurilovka, Peschanoe, Boguslavka, Shiikovka, Kupyansk, Yampol and Novoselovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The Tsentr (Center) grouping took control of Moskovskoe in the DPR and advanced into the eastern part of Dimitrov (Mirnograd), pushing further into residential districts.

Forces of the Sever (North) grouping improved their positions and struck Ukrainian formations near Alekseevka, Andreevka, Varachino, Novaya Sech and Sadki in Sumy Region. On the Kharkov axis, Ukrainian troops were hit near Volchansk.

The Yug (South) grouping advanced on the front line and struck Ukrainian units near Dronovka, Zvanovka, Plescheevka, Ivanopole, Berestok, Stepanovka, Konstantinovka and Seversk in the DPR.

The Vostok (East) grouping continued pushing deeper into Ukrainian defenses, striking a mechanized brigade, three assault regiments and two territorial defense brigades near Alekseevka, Grigorovka and Vishnevoe in Dnepropetrovsk Region, as well as Poltavka and Privolnoe in Zaporozhye Region.

The Dnepr grouping struck Ukrainian positions in Kherson Region, reportedly killing up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen.

Additionally, Russian forces carried out strikes on targets in the Ukrainian rear, destroying HIMARS launchers, facilities of the country’s military-industrial complex, and ammunition depots.
