Russian forces carried out a new series of strikes overnight on September 9 against military industry facilities, port infrastructure and logistics hubs in Ukraine. A cargo vessel carrying military supplies and facilities at a road border crossing were also hit, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The attack involved precision-guided weapons launched from ground- and air-based platforms, along with strike drones.

In Kiev, a warehouse belonging to a company producing unmanned surface vessels and fixed-wing drones was struck. Components for this equipment were also stored at the site.

A major part of the reported strikes targeted Nikolayev and the surrounding region. At the Nika-Tera cargo terminal, which the Russian Defense Ministry said was used to store fuel, lubricants and military property for Ukrainian forces, three fuel tanks and three storage facilities containing military cargo were destroyed. A drone production workshop and a UAV storage facility located at the terminal were also hit.

Several logistics sites were targeted as well. The Russian Defense Ministry reported strikes on the Metro, ATP YUTK, Novaya Pochta and Nikolayev-2 logistics centers, which were said to be used for storing military cargo and equipment intended for Ukrainian forces. The Elektrotekhnika logistics center, described as a storage and distribution point for drones and spare parts, was also struck.

The list of targets included a warehouse terminal operated by Dimetra. At the Zhovtnevoye terminal, six fuel and lubricant tanks and five storage facilities containing military cargo were destroyed.

The Trikhati electrical substation, which supplies power to the port of Nikolayev, was also hit. Inside the seaport itself, four fuel tanks and a storage facility containing military equipment for Ukrainian forces were struck, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Another strike hit a dry cargo vessel while it was sailing toward the port of Odessa. The Russian side said the ship was transporting military cargo to Ukraine. Logistics facilities at the Starokazachye road border crossing, used for bringing military supplies into Ukrainian territory, were also targeted.
