Russia remains one of the world’s leading producers of small arms, according to The National Interest (TNI) columnist Peter Suciu.

He pointed out that the Russian military recently received a new shipment of AK-12K compact assault rifles. In his analysis, Suciu noted that small arms production is one of the few areas where Russia’s defense industry has not faced significant delays, maintaining its position as a global leader.

The article also highlighted that the Kalashnikov Concern currently manufactures around 95 percent of all small arms used by Russia’s Armed Forces and other security agencies. In addition to supplying the domestic market, the company actively exports its weapons to more than 20 countries worldwide.
