Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 448 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight on September 10, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. The attack covered a wide area of the country and also extended over the Caspian and Black seas.

The drones were shot down over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov and Tula regions. Air defense units also engaged targets over Dagestan, Kalmykia, Crimea and the Krasnodar region.

The previous day, another 108 Ukrainian UAVs were intercepted over Russian territory between 08:00 and 20:00 Moscow time.

Bryansk Region was among the areas facing particularly intense drone activity. A total of 144 fixed-wing UAVs were destroyed there over the course of the day. Acting Bryansk Region Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said the attacks were repelled by Russian Defense Ministry air defense units, mobile fire teams from the BARS-Bryansk brigade, units of the Bryansk transport police and regional Rosgvardia special forces.

Kursk Region reported more severe consequences. Governor Alexander Khinshtein said 171 enemy drones of various types were shot down between 09:00 on September 9 and 09:00 on September 10. During the same period, artillery was used against evacuated areas 30 times, while drones carried out another 14 attacks involving explosive devices.

In the settlement of Glushkovo in the Glushkovsky district, a drone struck a private house, killing a 61-year-old man. The building was destroyed by fire.

Three other people were injured. A 40-year-old woman and her four-year-old son were hurt in the village of Olkhovka in the Khomutovsky district, while a 43-year-old man was injured in the village of Mokrushino in the Belovsky district. Khinshtein said the victims were receiving medical care.

The attacks also damaged local infrastructure. An energy facility in the Rylsky district was hit, cutting electricity to 45 homes serving 100 consumers. Repair work is expected to begin once the operational situation allows.

In the village of Zhadino in the Korenevsky district, the roof of a building belonging to an agricultural company was damaged. Three vehicles were also hit in the settlement of Belaya, the village of Rulitino in the Belovsky district, and Olkhovka in the Khomutovsky district.
