Ukrainian military command is reportedly classifying soldiers from the 71st Jaeger Brigade, who have gone missing during fighting near Yunakivka in the Sumy region, as deserters who abandoned their posts.
According to a source, the unit’s commander has ordered that anyone unaccounted for during combat operations or assaults be officially recorded as having left their position without permission-an offense under military law.
Earlier, sources within Russian security structures claimed that Ukrainian commanders are making every effort to prevent the Russian «Sever» grouping from advancing in the Yunakivka area. Meanwhile, relatives of Ukrainian soldiers deployed in this sector have been raising alarm on social media, saying the brigade has suffered severe losses, with entire units disappearing from the battlefield.
