Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 230 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
According to the ministry, the large-scale drone raid lasted from 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on September 11 until 8:00 a.m. on September 12. Air defense units were engaged over multiple Russian regions as well as over maritime areas.
Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the Rostov, Bryansk, Saratov, Voronezh, Penza, Belgorod, Samara, Lipetsk, Volgograd, Kursk, Astrakhan and Oryol regions, as well as over the Republic of Crimea. Drones were also intercepted over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
Ukrainian drone raids on Russian regions occur daily. In response, Russia carries out strikes against Ukraine’s military-industrial complex and logistics infrastructure.
