Russian air defense units intercepted and destroyed 389 fixed-wing drones launched by Ukrainian forces overnight from September 12 to 13, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry said the drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Penza, Rostov, Saratov and Smolensk regions, as well as over the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Tatarstan and Chuvashia. Ukrainian drones were also destroyed over the Azov, Black and Caspian seas.

Tatarstan was among the regions affected by the attack. Industrial and civilian facilities were damaged in Nizhnekamsk, while a fire broke out at one enterprise. Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said the blaze was being extinguished and that production had not stopped.

According to the press service of the Tatarstan leader, two people were killed and 12 others were injured in the drone attack.

Officials said one drone struck a tree and damaged a nearby car carrying four young people. Two of them died, while the other two were hospitalized in serious condition. In total, 12 people were injured at civilian and industrial facilities.

A residential building was also damaged. Minnikhanov ordered the consequences of the attack to be eliminated as quickly as possible and instructed officials to provide temporary accommodation to residents of damaged apartments if necessary.

Damage from the Ukrainian drone raid was also reported in the Krasnodar Territory. In the Slavyansk district, falling drone debris caused a fire at one enterprise. The regional operational headquarters also reported damage to a gas pipeline.

Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar said more than 60 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the region during the night.

Restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures were introduced overnight and on the morning of September 13 at airports in Izhevsk, Gelendzhik, Kirov, Makhachkala, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Saratov, Samara, Sochi and several other Russian cities.
