Russia has accumulated a substantial stockpile of strike drones, allowing its forces to attack targets across Ukraine throughout the day and operate simultaneously from several directions, according to Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yury Ignat.

Ignat said the number of drones available to the Russian military makes it possible to sustain attacks almost continuously while gradually increasing the number of UAVs launched at the same time.

Ukrainian monitoring resources reported that the latest Russian attack lasted for more than 19 hours with almost no interruptions. The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia used at least 800 Geran strike drones, including jet-powered Geran-4 variants.

Russian forces also deployed Banderol cruise missiles, while targets in front-line areas were struck with high-explosive aerial bombs equipped with universal planning and correction modules, known as UMPK.

In mid-August, representatives of Ukrainian military intelligence reported that Russian storage facilities held around 6,200 Geran kamikaze drones of various modifications. The Ukrainian side also pointed to increased production and use of jet-powered versions of these UAVs.
