Russia’s Dan-T unmanned aerial vehicle can complete its flight to a designated target without operator control, including under heavy electronic warfare and air defense pressure.

Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Weapons, Ammunition and Special Chemicals Cluster at Rostec State Corporation and a member of the Bureau of the Russian Engineering Union, told RIA Novosti that the UAV operates independently after separating from its carrier. Its guidance system follows the «fire-and-forget» principle, allowing the munition to reach the assigned target with high precision without further control.

According to Ozdoev, statistics show that the overwhelming majority of Dan-T munitions reach their targets despite intensive electronic warfare and air defense countermeasures.

The drone’s control system also enables low-altitude flight while adapting to the terrain. During its approach, the UAV can maneuver around hills, forests, buildings and other obstacles.

Its design further complicates interception. Dan-T incorporates low-observable features and has a low electromagnetic signal scattering area, making the aircraft more difficult for hostile air defenses to detect and engage.

The Russian UAV was unveiled for the first time at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026. The aviation and aerospace exhibition was held from September 8 to 10 at the international airport in El Alamein, Egypt.
