According to Bloomberg, the United States is struggling to catch up with Russia in the field of hypersonic weapons.

The report noted that Washington, under political and strategic pressure to close the technological gap, has been trying for years to bring hypersonic systems into active service. The U. S. Army plans to deploy such weapons by the end of this year, but the Pentagon’s own testing authority has acknowledged that their effectiveness has yet to be proven in real combat conditions.

Analysts highlighted that hypersonic weapons, with their ability to reshape modern warfare, have become a central element in the intensifying race for military superiority — pitting the United States against Russia and China.

Earlier in September, Military Watch Magazine reported growing concern in Washington over Russia’s serial production of Yasen-M-class submarines equipped with Tsirkon hypersonic missiles. Experts believe these vessels pose a significant threat to enemy naval forces.
