Kalashnikov Concern, part of Rostec, has publicly unveiled two anti-drone systems for the first time — Zveroboy and Kalitka-KA. Both were presented at the 4th All-Russian Arms Forum in Moscow, the concern’s press service told TASS.

Zveroboy is designed to provide round-the-clock protection for key facilities against reconnaissance and strike UAVs. Kalashnikov named Leleka, Lyutyi, Bober and Hornet-XR among the types of drones the system is intended to detect and destroy within its designated engagement range.

The system uses high-speed Kraken FPV interceptor drones of a multirotor design. Each launcher container carries three interceptors fitted with a special warhead. The drones can be used both during the day and at night.

Zveroboy is offered in two configurations. One is stationary and intended for permanent site defense, while the second is mounted on a pickup truck. The mobile version allows the system to change positions more quickly and makes concealment easier.

Kalashnikov chief Alan Lushnikov said the concern is building its anti-drone capabilities around a layered defense concept. The approach combines systems developed by the company for detection, suppression and physical destruction of different classes of UAVs at different ranges. Within this structure, Zveroboy is intended to cover its own engagement zone using high-speed interceptor drones.

Kalitka-KA was the second system shown publicly for the first time. The automated complex was developed to counter mass drone attacks and protect strategic facilities from UAVs operating at low and extremely low altitudes. Its target set includes both jet-powered drones and FPV aircraft.

The system is built around a rotating metal mount carrying a 7.62 mm Kalashnikov PKT machine gun. It also includes an electro-optical unit with two daylight cameras and a rangefinder. A thermal imager can be added as an option. The turret is controlled electronically through a remote operator console.

Like Zveroboy, Kalitka-KA is available in stationary and mobile versions. The latter is installed on a pickup truck.

The system is already being used intensively in the special military operation zone. Kalitka-KA is deployed to protect artillery positions, command posts, assault-unit movement routes and supply lines.

According to servicemen, its effectiveness against strike UAVs ranges from 70% to 100%, depending on the type of drone. On one section of the front, Kalitka-KA systems destroyed more than 200 fixed-wing and multirotor UAVs over a three-month period.
