Former UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has called on Britain to consider shooting down Russian drones directly over Ukrainian airspace.
Wallace outlined his position in comments to the Daily Mail following an incident involving a drone and a train on the Polish-Ukrainian border. He argued that nothing prevents individual countries from intercepting missiles or drones heading toward Ukraine.
The statement came against the backdrop of Vladimir Putin’s warning about the consequences of direct NATO involvement in the conflict. Speaking on Friday on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, the Russian president said that the deployment of NATO forces to the combat zone in Ukraine would lead to war with Russia.
