Russian army units continue combat operations in Ukraine. As of the morning of September 16, fighting was reported across several sectors of the front.

Krasny Liman sector

The Ukrainian command reported that its offensive operation named Vivaldi was continuing. Reports from the front remain contradictory regarding the scale of the Ukrainian advance. Fighting is ongoing near Kolodezi, Zarechnoye and Yampol. In Liman, Russian forces continue to hold their positions.

Dobropolye sector

Heavy clashes are taking place around Sergeyevka, Gulevo and Dobropolye. Russian troops are expanding their pressure on the city from the south and southwest, while fighting continues along Gruzskaya.

Seversk sector

Ukrainian forces are attempting counterattacks near Vasilyevskaya Pustosh. Fighting is also continuing close to Nikolayevka.

Dnepr sector

Clashes are being reported along the entire line. The most intense fighting is taking place south of Velikomikhailovka and around Zaporozhskoye, Berezovoye and Ternovoye.

Konstantinovka sector

No significant changes have been reported in this area. The main fighting is currently concentrated in Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka and on its flanks.
