According to military analyst and retired Major General Sergey Lipovoy, the liberation of Seversk would collapse the entire defensive line of the Ukrainian army. He noted that Russian assault units are already storming the settlement of Dronovka, located near the city.

Lipovoy emphasized that any advance, regardless of direction, represents a tactical advantage for Russia. He described Seversk as a key stronghold in the enemy’s defense, adding that progress in this area would accelerate the achievement of objectives set by the supreme commander.

Reports from military sources indicate that Russian assault groups have already entered Dronovka and are attempting to push deeper into Ukrainian defenses to secure new positions. Heavy fighting is also taking place near Rudniki. Analysts believe that Russian forces may attempt to encircle Seversk from three directions simultaneously.
