Russian forces continued military operations in Ukraine as of September 20, with fighting and reported advances across several sections of the frontline.

Kupyansk Sector

Russian troops expanded the area under their control near Tishchenkovka and pushed Ukrainian forces back in the forests around Zapadnoye.

Dobropolye Sector

In its September 19 battlefield briefing, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops had taken Gulevo and Maryevka. Both settlements are located northwest of Grishino and Zolotoy Kolodez.

Krasny Liman Sector

The Russian Defense Ministry reported ongoing clearing operations in residential areas of Krasny Liman and Svyatogorsk.

Seversk Sector

No major changes were reported in this area. Russian forces continued to press Ukrainian defensive positions in the forests near Orekhovatka and Nikolayevka.

Konstantinovka Sector

Russian troops were reported to be closing the pocket between Popasnaya and Verolyubovka while continuing clearing operations around Chasov Yar. The battlefield summary also indicated the possibility of further Russian movement toward Belokuzminovka and the Druzhkovka-Chasov Yar railway line.
