Russian air defenses intercepted 244 fixed-wing drones overnight on September 21, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The targets were destroyed over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Orenburg, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Tver, Tula and Ulyanovsk regions. Drones were also shot down over the Krasnodar Territory, Adygea, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, as well as over the Black Sea.

The previous day, from 08:00 to 20:00 Moscow time on September 20, Russian air defense units destroyed another 112 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions.

Belgorod region recorded 156 attacks over the past day. The strikes affected the Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Ivnyansky, Korochansky, Krasnensky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Novooskolsky, Rakitnyansky, Rovensky and Shebekinsky districts.

Thirteen attacks involved artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, while drones dropped explosive devices in another 12 cases. Air defense crews and other units involved in countering the attacks shot down or suppressed 157 UAVs.

Eleven people were wounded in the Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Rakitnyansky and Shebekinsky districts, including a 17-year-old teenager. Five of the injured were hospitalized, with one person listed in extremely serious condition.

Kursk region also came under repeated attack. Between 09:00 on September 20 and 09:00 on September 21, 169 drones of various types were shot down over the region. Artillery was used 123 times against evacuated areas, while drones carried out another 29 attacks using explosive devices.

Three people were wounded. A 21-year-old man was injured in the Khomutovsky district, while a 64-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were wounded in the Belovsky district.

In Bryansk region, a kamikaze drone strike on a residential house in the village of Andreykovichi, Pogarsky district, killed the owner of the home.

Three more people were wounded when kamikaze drones attacked moving vehicles on the Starodub-Klintsy road and near the village of Kartushin in the Starodubsky district. Two men and a woman received medical assistance.

A total of 65 fixed-wing drones were destroyed over Bryansk region during the past day.
