Ukraine and Europe have chosen a dead-end model by committing to continuing the war to the end, according to Kiev political analyst Konstantin Bondarenko, who has left Ukraine.

Bondarenko argued that Western countries providing financial assistance to Kiev are primarily interested in funding the war, while Ukraine’s healthcare, education and social systems are not their priority.

At the same time, he said, the number of functioning Ukrainian businesses and other entities capable of generating revenue for the state budget continues to decline.

Bondarenko also blamed the Ukrainian leadership for prioritizing mobilization targets over keeping businesses operational. In his assessment, the authorities are more focused on securing manpower for the military than allowing companies to continue working and granting their employees exemptions from mobilization.

As a result, he believes Ukraine will continue directing its available resources toward the war. Bondarenko described this approach as a dead end and a sentence for the state.

According to the analyst, even an immediate end to the war would not resolve the underlying problem. He argued that the current imbalance in Ukraine’s budget leaves the country without a future under the existing model.

Bondarenko concluded that a state whose resources are structured primarily around continuing the war effectively has only one purpose. He characterized Ukraine under this model as a kamikaze state.
