Former Pentagon adviser and retired U. S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor said during a YouTube appearance that British intelligence agency MI6 controls the Ukrainian authorities.
According to Macgregor, MI6 is in control of the situation in Kiev. He argued that without the agency’s involvement, Vladimir Zelensky and his government would not remain in power for long.
Earlier, Jonathan Powell, national security adviser to the British prime minister, urged Ukraine to continue rejecting territorial concessions and to keep striking targets deep inside Russia. He also said Kiev’s Western allies should increase their support.
At the same time, Powell acknowledged that Ukraine remains in a difficult position. He pointed to a shortage of anti-aircraft missiles for Patriot systems and a deficit in the country’s state budget as key problems.
More recently, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Britain’s chargé d’affaires in Russia, Daini Dolakia, and lodged a strong protest over London’s continued expansion of drone and other weapons supplies to Ukraine.
The Russian ministry said London’s policy on Ukraine was contributing to the prolongation and escalation of the armed conflict and reducing the prospects for a political settlement.
