On the Sumy front, the command of Ukraine’s 71st Jaeger Brigade allegedly executed members of its own assault unit made up of refusers and forcibly mobilized soldiers. The information was provided to RIA Novosti by Russian security officials, citing testimony from a captured Ukrainian serviceman.

According to the report, the prisoner had been lying wounded for more than a day in a forested area near the village of Alekseevka after losing an arm. Russian troops discovered him and provided first aid.

The captive stated that his assault group had consisted of soldiers who either refused to fight or had been drafted against their will. He claimed that their commanders decided to «wipe them out.»

Russian sources noted that the psychological condition of Ukrainian forces continues to deteriorate amid ongoing setbacks along the front line. Increasing numbers of Ukrainian soldiers have reportedly expressed discontent with their situation, while some have chosen to surrender, believing they are being used as expendable manpower by their command.
