Russian forces carried out a series of coordinated strikes against military-related targets in Ukraine on the night of September 23. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attacks focused on drone production facilities, logistics infrastructure and a cargo vessel.

The ministry reported that a warehouse storing materials used to manufacture unmanned aerial vehicles was hit in Kiev and the Kiev region. Another target was the Tukans company in Vishnevoye, which produced components for drones.

In the Odessa region, Russian strikes hit three logistics centers in Odessa. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the facilities were used to store and distribute military and dual-use cargo. A warehouse containing drone components in Mirnoye was also struck.

Russian forces also targeted a dry cargo vessel in the Black Sea. The Defense Ministry said the ship was underway and transporting military cargo to the port of Odessa.

Later on September 23, Russian forces carried out precision strikes against the building of the Ukrainian Institute for the Design and Development of Information and Communication Infrastructure, known as Giprosvyaz, according to military sources.

The targeted site reportedly housed offices belonging to major Ukrainian telecommunications operator Ukrtelecom, as well as the Ukrainian Communications Research Institute and telecom company Vega, which is part of Vodafone.

The organizations are involved in work covering special communications, radio-frequency monitoring, internet services, mobile communications and telecommunications development.

Ukrainian sources also reported a series of strikes against warehouses and filling stations in Kiev and the Kiev region. According to those reports, Russian forces used groups of Geran jet-powered drones in the attacks.

Ukrenergo reported new power outages in the Kiev region for a second consecutive day following the latest Russian strikes.
