A Russian Utka-2 drone carrying a homemade high-explosive munition known as the Domolom completely destroyed a heavily fortified Ukrainian position, a sapper from the Center Group of Forces told RIA Novosti.

The munition was developed specifically for the mission because the Ukrainian firing position was so heavily fortified that breaching it by other means proved extremely difficult.

Explosives specialists at the unit’s dedicated laboratory equipped the Utka-2 with a high-explosive munition containing a large amount of explosives. The weapon, dubbed Domolom, was then used to strike and completely destroy the fortified position.

The sapper, who uses the call sign Skif, said such homemade munitions are produced only occasionally because they are designed for highly specialized missions.

Russian drone units also use a wide range of standard UAV munitions, including shaped-charge weapons for armored vehicles, as well as combined, fragmentation-shaped-charge-incendiary and fragmentation munitions.
