Russian TOS-2 Tosochka heavy flamethrower crews operating in the Dobropolye sector have improved their firing accuracy, allowing the system to be used not only against area targets. Personnel from the Center group of forces mastered the more precise approach after additional training, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

One of the targets was a command post used by Ukrainian formations. According to the ministry, a Tosochka crew struck the site with high accuracy. Group commander Igor Bereganov explained that the system is primarily designed to engage targets across a wider area, but the crews have learned to employ it with significantly greater precision.

TOS-2 units continue carrying out combat missions in the Dobropolye sector. Their targets include command posts, fortified positions, depots and concentrations of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.

Earlier, troops from the North group of forces thwarted an attempt by Ukrainian units to break out of encirclement near Chernoye in the Kharkov Region. The Russian Defense Ministry said Ukrainian formations were struck near Varvarovka and Grachevka.
