The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense forces destroyed 96 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian regions during the night.

According to the ministry, the drones were intercepted and shot down between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on September 26 and 8:00 a.m. on September 27.

The UAVs were destroyed over the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, Crimea, and the Black Sea.

A day earlier, Kursk Region Governor Alexander Khinshtein reported 28 drone attacks involving explosive devices. Four people were injured, while residential and country houses, a gas pipeline, a building materials store and several vehicles were damaged.

In the Bryansk Region, 14 fixed-wing drones were destroyed overnight. Governor Yegor Kovalchuk also said that the previous day, a drone struck a vehicle on the Bryansk-Novozybkov highway near the village of Smotrovaya Buda in the Klintsy district.

The driver was injured and taken to hospital.
