The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of September 28, the situation along the line of contact is as follows.

Sumy Sector

Russian forces are advancing near Malaya Rybitsa, Khoten and Ulanovo. Heavy fighting continues around Tolstodubovo. In the Krasnopolye district, Russian units are also pushing forward near Stepok.

Kharkov Sector

Fighting is underway near Sinkovka, Petropavlovka and on the approaches to the eastern outskirts of Kupyansk. The Russian army has taken control of the village of Khripuny, located 1.5 kilometers east of Malaya Volchya. Russian forces are also assaulting Prikolotnoye.

The opposing side is attempting to dislodge small Russian groups from several positions around Kupyansk. Fighting has entered a more intense phase, with both sides contesting control of existing footholds and efforts to expand them.

Krasny Liman Sector

Clashes continue in the Serebryanskoye forestry area. Russian troops are advancing in Ray-Alexandrovka and near Krivaya Luka and Piskunovka.

Ukrainian forces continue to hold positions along the Drobyshevo-Koroviy Yar line and are attempting to push Russian units back beyond the Zherebets River.

Konstantinovka Sector

Russian forces are putting pressure on Ukrainian positions near Ilyinovka and in the Chasov Yar area.

Dobropolye Sector

Heavy fighting continues in residential districts of Dobropolye.

Zaporozhye Sector

Russian assault groups have advanced west of Zorevka, Rovnoye and Kopani. Fighting also continues for Stepnogorsk and Orekhov.
