Russian forces carried out drone strikes overnight on September 28 against logistics and communications facilities, port infrastructure and vessels that were used in the interests of Ukrainian forces, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Two data centers were among the targets in Kiev. One belonged to UkrTelecom, a major provider of fixed-line and mobile communications as well as high-speed internet services. The Russian military said the company’s infrastructure was used by Ukrainian forces.

Another strike hit a DreamLine data center. According to the ministry, the company provided high-speed internet services to Ukrainian troops, while its infrastructure was also used to store intelligence data.

Fuel infrastructure in Kiev that served the interests of Ukrainian forces was also hit.

In the Kiev region, the Vasilkov military airfield came under attack. The Defense Ministry reported that facilities and infrastructure at the site were struck.

Several targets were also hit in the Odessa region. In Odessa itself, a strike targeted a Novaya Pochta logistics center where military cargo was stored.

At the port of Chernomorsk, a dry cargo ship carrying military equipment and dual-use goods for Ukrainian forces was hit.

Another target was the Dunaysudoservis plant at the port of Izmail. The company is involved in shipbuilding and ship repair, as well as the restoration, modernization and conversion of vessels and maintenance of patrol boats. A permanent deployment site of a unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine located on the plant’s grounds was also struck.

Russian drones also attacked a dry cargo ship while it was at sea. The Defense Ministry said the vessel was carrying military cargo and was heading for the port of Odessa.
