Russian forces are continuing their operation in Dobropolye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. RIA Novosti, citing the Russian Defense Ministry, reported that units of the Center Group of Forces took control of 94 buildings in the western and eastern parts of the city over the past day, while losses among encircled Ukrainian formations exceeded 30 servicemen.

According to the ministry, unmanned systems units remain heavily involved in the fighting. Russian troops are using both fiber-optic FPV drones and radio-controlled UAVs, allowing operators to continue striking targets even when Ukrainian forces are actively employing electronic warfare systems.

The Russian Defense Ministry also said encircled Ukrainian units are trying to maintain supply lines with ground-based robotic systems and small vehicles. Russian drone operators are targeting those attempts in an effort to disrupt deliveries of ammunition, food and reinforcements.

On September 22, the ministry reported that Ukrainian units had been blocked in the Dobropolye area and that attempts were being made to break through to the encircled forces. According to the Russian side, those efforts have been repelled.

Dobropolye is described as an important logistics hub. One of the key supply routes used by Ukrainian forces from the Dnepropetrovsk Region passes through the city.
