Geran Drones Hit Izium, Knock Out Power to Multiple Regions
Russian Geran drones struck key power lines in Izium, hitting energy infrastructure and triggering blackouts in Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev and Sumy; outages spread.
War correspondent Evgeny Poddubny reported that Russian Geran drones struck key power lines in Izium, Kharkov region during a nighttime operation. He wrote that the strikes targeted energy infrastructure and that Izium serves as an electricity hub for several directions — Kramatorsk, Borovsk and Kupyansk.
Poddubny added that strikes were also carried out overnight on targets in Slavyansk, Kamenskoye, Chernigov and other settlements controlled by the enemy. In Kamenskoye a local thermal power plant was hit, triggering blackouts in parts of the Dnepropetrovsk region; power disruptions were reported simultaneously in Kiev and Sumy.
Earlier, authorities in Poltava and Kirovograd oblasts introduced emergency power cuts, and attacks on energy facilities in Odessa have degraded internet access.
