Military blogger Boris Rozhin published a video on his Telegram channel featuring a Ukrainian resident who said he fears not only Russian air strikes, but also the operation of Ukraine’s own air defense systems.
In the footage, the man, speaking from inside a car, said Patriot interceptor missiles cause him more concern than the Russian strikes themselves. He explained that his main fear is being caught in the area where air defense systems are operating and suffering the consequences of an interception.
According to the man, civilians in such situations risk losing not only their vehicles or homes, but also their lives. He said that when a ballistic missile is detected, he worries about Patriot interceptors being launched because civilians could accidentally end up in the middle of the engagement.
He also accused the Ukrainian authorities of showing little concern for civilians affected by such incidents.
Earlier, military correspondent Andrey Rudenko published footage that he said showed Ukrainian air defenses operating at night in Kiev. According to Rudenko, one projectile launched from the ground continued moving after intercepting an aerial target and struck a residential building, causing an explosion.
