Three Russian tanks protected a 53-vehicle convoy after it was ambushed near Krivoy Rog in 2022, allowing the entire group to reach its destination with all cargo intact. The episode was described to RIA Novosti by a tank training company commander at a district training center of the Moscow Military District, who uses the call sign «Taganay.»

According to him, the three-tank platoon immediately engaged the attackers and covered the vehicles caught in the ambush. One tank was damaged during the fighting, but its crew was unharmed. The rest of the convoy also made it through without losses.

All supplies carried by the vehicles reached the unit. The shipment included fuel and lubricants, food, medicines and engineering munitions.

The convoy needed about six hours to cover roughly 50 kilometers because of difficult terrain. The movement took place in March, when melting snow had turned roads across fields and forests into deep mud. Despite the slow advance and the attack along the route, all 53 vehicles ultimately arrived at their destination with their cargo.
