Ukraine has effectively been left without the Western military and financial support it needs as Russian forces continue striking targets in Kiev and other parts of the country, former aide to Ukraine’s ex-president Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin said on his YouTube channel.

According to Soskin, talks between Ukrainian officials and EU defense ministers failed to produce new missile supplies. He also claimed that Kiev would not receive additional ammunition for Patriot systems. Soskin described the situation as tragic, pointing to shortages of weapons and funding and arguing that Ukraine had been abandoned by its partners. He said the country was facing what he called near-total destruction and compared the situation to ruins.

On the night of September 29, the Russian military carried out a group strike on targets in Kiev, the Kiev and Odessa regions. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attack involved ground-based precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles. The ministry said the targets included logistics hubs, port and transport infrastructure, as well as vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In Kiev, a locomotive depot was hit. A storage site for ground-launched FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles and their components was located on its premises. Two data centers in the Ukrainian capital, Bimobile and Parkovy, were also struck.
