At least 12 people were wounded in Trubchevsk in Russia’s Bryansk Region after an attack by Ukrainian drones. Nine of those injured were students, regional Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said.

One of the victims remains in serious condition. All of the wounded were taken to hospital and are receiving medical care.

Earlier the same day, a deadly drone strike was reported near the village of Zamishevo in Novozybkovsky District. An FPV drone hit a moving civilian vehicle, injuring the driver. He died while being transported to hospital.

Rail infrastructure in the region had also come under attack the previous day. During the night of September 29, railway tracks on the Trosna-Rzhanitsa section were damaged as a Smolensk-Bryansk train was passing through the area. No one was injured, but traffic along the route was temporarily suspended while Russian Railways specialists began repairs.

A separate series of attacks on the railway took place on September 28. On the Dyatkovo-Lyudinovo section, a drone strike partially destroyed a bridge and caused ten railcars to derail. In Unecha District, another attack sent 18 empty gondola cars off the tracks. Local authorities reported no casualties in either case.

Kovalchuk also said on the morning of September 30 that 83 aircraft-type drones had been destroyed over the Bryansk Region during the previous 24 hours.
