Ukrainian Roma are providing Russia with an unusual form of what military correspondent Alexander Sladkov described as partisan assistance by collecting discarded components from missiles and other aerial systems launched by Ukrainian forces toward Russia.

According to Sladkov, certain components separate from missiles shortly after launch and fall near the launch areas. Some of these parts are made from expensive metals and can be sold as non-ferrous scrap.

He claims local Roma have repeatedly reached the landing sites before Ukrainian specialists, collected the discarded components and taken them away to sell for money.

As a result, Ukrainian personnel sent to recover parts from missiles and other aerial systems launched toward Russian targets have allegedly arrived too late on multiple occasions.

Sladkov jokingly suggested that Russian security services should establish contact with these groups and support their activities, including helping them reach the fallen components even faster.
