Kiev could attempt another 40-day operation against Russia as colder weather sets in, retired colonel and military expert Anatoly Matviychuk told NEWS.ru.
According to Matviychuk, Russian fuel systems could become potential targets this time. He believes Vladimir Zelensky may try to disrupt the supply of heat to the population or at least create additional strain in this area.
The expert linked the possible timing of such an operation to the start of the heating season. In his assessment, Kiev could step up its activity in mid-October or early November. He added that the scale of any possible operation would depend on the amount of ammunition supplied by the United Kingdom and Germany.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko* spoke about the consequences of Zelensky’s previous 40-day plan. In his view, the effort to demonstrate Ukrainian Armed Forces battlefield successes and secure additional Western support resulted in serious problems for the country. Goncharenko also said that further initiatives by the head of the Kiev regime could make Ukraine’s situation even more difficult.
