Retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk believes the growing scale of Russian missile and drone strikes on Ukraine, along with attacks on data centers and power lines, could indicate that the conflict is moving closer to its end.

According to him, Russian forces are now using new types of weapons to increase pressure on the Kiev authorities and force Vladimir Zelensky to accept Moscow’s terms.

Matviychuk said he could not predict when the conflict would end because too many subjective and objective factors remain in play. At the same time, he argued that current developments on the battlefield point toward a possible conclusion.

The retired colonel also said Russian forces have significantly increased the intensity and scale of strikes on Ukrainian targets. He linked this escalation to what he described as Kiev’s shift toward state terrorism.

Earlier, Russian troops struck a Vodafone data center in the Ukrainian capital. The Russian Defense Ministry said the facility was among the largest centers providing the Ukrainian Armed Forces with mobile communications and high-speed internet, including for the transmission of intelligence data.

Russian forces also hit the Parkovy and Bimobile data centers. According to the ministry, the facilities supported government and commercial services and were also used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
