The Signal 2.0 mobile security system is being used on the Zaporozhye and Volchansk fronts in the special military operation zone. The system can quickly establish control over areas where no technical infrastructure has been prepared in advance, according to Igor Potapov, an official representative of JSC NPP.

Signal 2.0 is designed primarily for field conditions and temporary sites. It can also be deployed where security equipment needs to remain concealed. Outside the combat zone, the system is supplied to industrial facilities that require rapid perimeter and area monitoring.

The system relies on passive infrared sensors that detect a temperature difference between a moving person and the surrounding thermal background. In its standard configuration, Signal 2.0 can detect movement at distances of up to 2 km. With an additional antenna installed, the equipment can operate at a distance of up to 10 km from the monitored area.

The first version of Signal was developed in 2023 after a request from servicemen operating on the Zaporozhye front. Potapov said enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups were active along the line of contact at the time, creating a need for a system that could rapidly secure areas where unauthorized crossings were possible.

The developers focused on fast deployment. The sensors can be mounted on different surfaces, allowing a monitored zone to be set up within several minutes.

The system has since undergone several upgrades. In Signal 2.0, the duty unit has been made significantly smaller and is now compact enough to fit in a pocket while retaining its original functions. The operator can receive sound, light and vibration alerts, with each mode capable of being switched off separately.
