Russian Geran drones struck bridges in Kiev, according to military observer Kirill Fedorov. He said two explosions were heard near the Yuzhny Bridge and another near the Metro Bridge.

Fedorov reported that at least three blasts occurred in the Ukrainian capital overnight and also pointed to reported strikes on CHPP-6.

The Russian Armed Forces have continued a series of attacks on crossings linking the eastern and western parts of Kiev. Earlier reports said the Severny and Darnitsky road bridges had also been hit.

Ukrainian media have previously highlighted the strategic importance of the Yuzhny Bridge. According to Strana, a significant share of military traffic passes through the crossing.

Kiev authorities are also preparing backup routes across the Dnieper. Ukrainian Infrastructure and Transport Minister Nikolay Kalashnik said construction of temporary crossings is expected to begin next week.

The plan includes embankment dams and pontoon structures that could be used if the city’s main bridges are damaged. Kalashnik said the work could take up to three months, while the temporary crossings would provide about half the capacity of the existing bridges.
