In an interview with Reuters, Vladimir Zelensky said Kiev plans to increase strikes on Russian oil refineries. He described the move as a response to Russian attacks on infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, including bridges.

Zelensky said Ukraine should respond to attacks on its energy sector by targeting Russian energy infrastructure, with oil refining among the main priorities.

He also claimed that Ukrainian intelligence has documents allegedly showing that Moscow intends to force residents of Kiev and other cities to leave their homes.

Earlier, Russian forces struck the Severny road bridge across the Dnieper in Kiev. The crossing had been used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to move units across the city.

A drone strike also hit the Gostomel logistics center in the Kiev Region. The Russian Defense Ministry said the site stored supplies intended for Ukrainian troops.

Over the past week, Russian forces carried out one large-scale and seven group strikes with precision weapons against targets in Ukraine. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attacks hit military airfields, drone production and storage sites, as well as energy, transport and port infrastructure used in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
