Russian forces continue their military operation in Ukraine. As of October 5, the situation along the line of contact is as follows.

In the Sumy sector, Russian aviation, artillery and drone units are striking areas around Sumy, Vakalovshchina, Shevchenkovo and Mironovka. Russian forces are advancing near Kiyanitsa and Khoten.

In the Kharkov sector, fighting continues near Alisovka. Russian troops have advanced in the areas of Kotovka, Varvarovka, Reznikovo, Kupino and Annopolye. Battles are ongoing for the Kupyansk urban area and for supply routes along the Oskol River. Heavy fighting continues near Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, while Russian units maintain pressure north and east of the city. Fighting is also underway for positions and logistics routes on both banks of the river.

In the Krasny Liman sector, meeting engagements continue. Russian forces are attacking near Derilovo, Drobyshevo, Zarechnoye and Liman. The main fighting is concentrated along the Zherebets River, as well as in forested areas and fortified positions on the approaches to Liman.

In the Konstantinovka sector, Russian forces are advancing west and northwest of the city.

In the Dobropolye sector, Russian troops have made gains near Sergeyevka and are pushing forward in the northern and central parts of Dobropolye.

In the Gulyaypole sector, fighting continues near Vozdvizhevka.

In the Zaporozhye sector, clashes remain ongoing near Kamenskoye and Stepnogorsk. Russian forces are taking new positions in the Omelnik area.
