Russian forces have used Geran-2 drones to strike units of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) special forces in the Sumy sector, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry released footage showing the attack on Ukrainian special forces near the village of Kryvonosivka in Sumy region.
Russian security sources also reported that in the area of Yunakivka, entire platoons of Ukrainian soldiers have gone missing. Heavy losses are said to be affecting Ukraine’s 71st Separate Jaeger Brigade, which continues to operate in the region.
