A Russian serviceman with the call sign Koluchiy said Ukrainian commanders left their troops without support during the fighting for Kreidyanka in the Kharkov Region.

According to him, a powerful strike sharply reduced the Ukrainian side’s ability to resist, while its command abandoned the units on the ground.

Koluchiy said his company was tasked with taking the settlement. After the massed strike, he said, Ukrainian forces offered little organized resistance. Some soldiers surrendered, while others tried to retreat. Ukrainian personnel attempting to break through were destroyed, he added.

The Russian Defense Ministry said assault units from the 344th Motor Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motor Rifle Division, part of the 6th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Sever Group of Forces, eliminated a Ukrainian fortified area near Kreidyanka. According to the ministry, this strengthened Russian positions and tightened the encirclement around the Ukrainian grouping in the Kharkov Region.

The ministry reported the capture of Kreidyanka on September 29. During the advance, Russian assault groups moved through forested terrain in poor visibility.

Before the main fighting began, artillery crews and strike drone operators hit Ukrainian strongpoints, firing positions and field ammunition depots.
