Russian forces continue their military operation in Ukraine. As of October 6, the situation along the line of contact is as follows.

Sumy direction

Russian troops are advancing near Kiyanitsa and Khoten, while taking new positions along the Yunakovka-Miropolskoye line. The most active fighting is taking place in the wooded area north of Sumy.

Kharkov direction

Heavy fighting is underway in Kupyansk-Uzlovoy. Russian forces are advancing near Kotovka, Kupino and Annopolye. The main clashes are centered on Ukrainian supply routes and positions north and east of Kupyansk.

Krasny Liman direction

Intense battles continue in and around Krasny Liman. Russian units are pressing Ukrainian defenses from the direction of Zarechnoye and from wooded areas north of the city. Farther north, opposing forces continue to clash near Ivanovka, Novomikhailovka and Katerinovka.

Konstantinovka direction

Fighting continues for Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka. Russian troops have also advanced near Fedorovka.

Dobropolye direction

Russian forces are moving toward Belozerskoye. Fighting is also underway in the northern and central parts of Dobropolye.

Gulyaypole direction

Russian troops are advancing near Gorkoye. The Russian army has taken Samoylovka, a village located two kilometers west of Rybalskoye. Russian forces have also made tactical gains in the eastern part of Ivanovka.

Zaporozhye direction

Heavy fighting continues in Omelnik.
